An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

The Board of Management having initially advertised this permanent vacancy on this website on 17th June 2022 for teachers listed on the Supplementary Panel for the Diocese of Waterford and Lismore. The closing date for receipt of expressions of interest was 22nd June. The closing date for submission of expressions of interest from teachers on the relevant Supplementary Panel was extended by advertisement on this website to the 25th June 2022. The Board of Management is now proceeding to fill this permanent vacancy through open competition. Interviews will take place on 25th August 2022.

St. Martin's School caters for pupils aged 4 to 18 years with moderate, severe/profound learning disabilities and ASD. Relevant training and significant experience with challenging behaviour in a special school is desirable. Only those applicants called for interview will receive a response.
