Scoil Mhuire Banríon na hÉireann seeks an enthusiastic and experienced SNA. The following skills and experience are desirable: - Training and experience with children with Autism and with Social Emotional and Behavioural difficulties in a primary school setting.
Practical experience with promotion of positive behaviour strategies.
Training and experience with children with Down Syndrome in a primary school setting.
Training in the use of 'Lámh'.
Ability to work well within a team and displaying a strong work ethic.
The position will involve working closely with class teachers and other staff in support of children with Special Educational Needs.
The appointment is subject but not limited to Garda Vetting requirements, Occupational Health Screening and satisfactory references.
Candidates called to interview will be required to provide proof of qualifications as per DES requirements.

Further Notes An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
