Panel of Applicants:
An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
Part time SNA required. 0.5 of a post or 16 hours per week.
The successful candidate is expected to carry out the duties as per Circular 0030/2014.
To meet the needs of the school the following competencies are desirable:
-Knowledge and experience of working with children with ASD.
-Experience in working with children with multiple disabilities an advantage.
-Candidates must be able to work well within a team, display a strong work ethic and demonstrate a willingness to avail of further training.
-Experience of PECS and assistive technology desirable.
-The successful candidate will be expected to respect the confidentiality of the students at all times and to respect and uphold the school ethos.
-Applicants must have the relevant qualifications as per Department of Education requirements.
-Appointment is subject to satisfactory references, current vetting requirements and completion of the pre-return to work Covid 19 questionnaire at least 3 days before entering the workplace.
