POST DETAILS

Panel of Applicants:
An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
Goatstown/Stillorgan Educate Together National School was opened in September 2019 and is a rapidly growing mainstream primary school with Junior and Senior infant’s classes for the academic year 2020/2021.

We are currently in temporary accommodation in Sandyford Industrial Estate but will move to Goatstown to our permanent site in a few years.

We are a Restorative School and promote a very positive school culture. We have a small and very supportive team ethic. There will be lots of opportunities for CPD and for taking on leadership responsibilities within the school. A great deal of flexibility will also be required as we are in the very early stages of our development.

Please note that this Developing School Post is sanctioned as FIXED TERM ONLY for September and October. Once we have confirmed our pupil numbers on the 30th of September the post may be sanctioned as permanent.

We are initially recruiting for a Senior Infants class teacher.

Ideally, the successful candidate will have previous experience in this role. Experience working in a developing school and a multi-cultural setting would be beneficial. Knowledge and experience of Literacy Lift Off, Aistear, Team Teaching, Restorative Practices and EAL teaching would be an advantage. They will also be expected to contribute to the development of the school community and to demonstrate commitment, flexibility, and enthusiasm in relation to this development.

There is the possibility that interviews will be held using video-conferencing technology due to the Covid-19 restrictions.

All applications to be sent via email only please to gtsetnsmct2020@gmail.com

The closing date is Tuesday the 21st of July at 5pm. Any application received after this time and date will not be considered.
