POST DETAILS

Panel of Applicants:
An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
Goatstown/Stillorgan Educate Together National School was opened in September 2019 and is a rapidly growing mainstream vertical primary school with Junior and Senior infant’s classes for the academic year 2020/2021.

We are a Restorative school with a very positive school culture. There will be lots of prospects for CPD and you will be supported in your career development. This is a unique opportunity to become a part of a small team and to help lay the foundations for the future direction of the school.

Our school has currently been allocated 12.5 hours SET (Special Education Teaching) for the academic year 2020 / 2021. This allocation will potentially increase to 15.5 hours per week after our pupil numbers have been confirmed on the 30th of September. At this time only 12.5 hours per week can be guaranteed.

It is envisaged that the hours for this part-time, fixed-term position will be used daily for 2.5 hours of teaching but this can be discussed at interview.

The successful candidate will facilitate the support of children with additional needs through a whole-school team teaching / school support approach. Flexibility is required as there will also be some mainstream class teaching duties.

Ideally, the successful applicant will have previous experience in this role. Experience working in a developing school and a multi-cultural setting would be beneficial. Knowledge and experience of Literacy Lift Off, Aistear, Team Teaching, Restorative Practices and EAL teaching would be an advantage.

There is the possibility that interviews will be held using video-conferencing technology due to the Covid-19 restrictions. Interviews will be held on either the 6th or 7th of August.

All applications are to be sent via email only please to gsetns2020ptt@gmail.com

The closing date is Tuesday the 21st of July @ 5pm. Any application arriving after this date and time will not be considered.
