Additional Information:
St. Joseph's Special School is designated as a special school for students 5-18 years of age who have been assessed as being in the Mild General Learning Disability Range. Some of our students would have additional needs such as Down Syndrome, ASD, ADHD, Social emotional and behavioural needs and/or challenging behaviour. This post is initially for a junior classroom but is subject to change as the needs of the school may require. Experience of working in special school environment and/or ASD unit would be beneficial but not essential. Experience of working with students who present with challenging behaviour in a positive proactive manner would be desirable. Experience in use of LÁMH and positive behaviour interventions such as CPI MAPA or Studio 3 also desirable but not essential
