St. James’s Primary School is situated in Dublin’s historic south inner city. The school was first established by the Religious Sisters of Charity in the 1800’s. St. James’s P.S. is a vertical school catering for boys and girls from Junior Infants to Sixth Class with one ASD class. The school provides a caring, welcoming environment for both pupils and their parents/guardians.
In accordance with our school mission statement we strive to be a centre of academic excellence in which each child is given the best possible opportunity to reach their full potential. We provide an holistic education through which all pupils are given a great sense of their own self-worth and uniqueness. Pupils are given many opportunities to learn through art, sport, music and the use of technology. The hub of our holistic support is our Early Focus Room through which our Early Focus Co-ordinator provides a number of therapeutic interventions both group and individual to support each child in their education and well-being.
The Board of management invites applications for the post of principal to carry on and further develop the long tradition of education in St. James’s Primary School.
