Panel of Applicants:
An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
Applicants who are deemed to be members of the Supplementary Panel must furnish a certified copy of completed Panel Form 1 (PF1) with their application.
Appointment will be subject to Garda Vetting and occupational health screening. The position is subject to NCSE allocation and SENO review. Canvassing will disqualify.
This appointment requires somebody who demonstrates flexibility, is a team player, shows good communication skills, has a calm disposition, is confident in dealing with behaviours that challenge, has supervision skills and shows initiative.
Criteria for this position:
1. Minimum qualifications as per DES Circular 0051/2019. Additional childcare and/or other relevant qualifications or courses (e.g. First Aid, Manual Handling, Positive Behaviour Support Strategies, PECS, etc) would be highly desirable.
2. Experience working with children who have complex and challenging profiles
