Approximately 20 hrs per week (Mon – Fri)
Mornings from 7.30 am to 9:30 am
Afternoons from 1.30pm to 3:30 pm
* School Bus Escorts will be expected to travel to and from an agreed pick-up and drop-off point to meet the bus driver.
St. Mary’s National School, Croom, caters for students with complex needs arising from an ASD diagnosis and is looking to recruit a Bus Escort. School Bus Escorts accompany and supervise pupils attending St. Mary’s NS on the journey to and from school each school day. Experience in working with children with ASD and challenging behaviour is essential. Candidates should be able to work with parents and school staff in a professional way.
A panel of substitute escorts will be created from successful applicants. All successful applicants will be subject to Garda Vetting, asked to complete the ‘Introduction to Children First’ Elearning programme and the General Medmark Pre-Employment Form.
Applicants must supply suitable references.
Hourly rate of pay will be as per DES guidelines, see Circular Letter 0050/2019.
Bus Escorts are not paid during school holidays.
