An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
Burncourt NS is a mainstream school with a special class for children with autism.
There are four SNAs currently working in Burncourt NS alongside six classroom teachers.
We are seeking an enthusiastic SNA with the ability to work well within a team whilst displaying a strong work ethic and flexibility.
Experience of the following is desirable:
Experience of working with children with ASD, ADHD, EBD and various medical needs.
Experience of working in an ASD class setting.
Practical experience with the management of challenging behaviour and promotion of positive behavior strategies preferable.
Please include a copy of form PF1 if appropriate.
Appointment will be subject to vetting requirements, occupational health screening, TUSLA child safeguarding training and satisfactory references.
Hours of work: 8.45-14.55
