An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

Skerries Educate Together National School, roll no. 20307O wish to recruit four Special Needs Assistants commencing duties on 28th August 2019. These positions equate to 26.5 hours per week and are all for a full Infant day. These posts involve supporting children in mainstream classes and also children with ASD in our preschool Seolta. Two of these posts are for one year only due to career break and job-sharing arrangements currently in the school. The other two posts will be fulltime and will continue beyond the coming school year subject to ongoing sanction from the National Council for Special Education. Essential Criteria incorprate appropriate training and also previous experience with working in an ASD unit. It would also be desirable for candidates to have some experience with methods such as PECS, TEACCH or ABA. Applications on 'Standard Application Form' for SNAs available on www.educationposts.ie .
