An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

Scoil an Chlochair has received approval from the DES for 2 positions in 2019-2020. The first is a mainstream class teacher which has been granted on developing school grounds. The second is an EAL position. These positions will be filled on a temporary basis up to Friday 25th October 2019. It is expected that one or both positions will be filled on a fixed term basis for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year. Position one is for a mainstream class (3rd or 4th class).
