Post Title – Communications/ Personal Development Teacher – 22 hours

Candle Community Trust, established in 1978, is a registered charity providing educational, developmental and therapeutic opportunities for “at risk” youth in Ballyfermot, Dublin 10. Working in collaboration with CDETB, Probation Service and CDYSB, Candle is committed to creating and delivering a comprehensive best practice educational/developmental service to meet the needs of young people who experience disadvantage and marginalization.

Candle Community Trust, in collaboration with CDETB, now invite applications for a teacher of Communications/ Personal Development (22 hours per week) to cover 7 weeks summer leave (June 4th – July 19th 2019).

Essential Requirements:
• A relevant teaching qualification to primary degree level
• Experience and understanding of working with vulnerable young people
• Skills, experience and value requisite for working with challenging behaviour
• A flexible and creative approach to learning
• Knowledge of the QQI Level 3 & 4 education route
