An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

St. Oliver’s Special School provides education for pupils aged 4 to 18 whose primary assessed disability is a severe to profound general learning disability. It also cater for children with moderate multiple diagnosis & has an Early Intervention class for children from 2 ½ to 6 years old with a diagnosis of Autism. The School is under the patronage of Ability West.

Applicants should have an in-depth knowledge of the curriculum and a broad range of teaching experience. Applicants should also have excellent people management, leadership and communications skills, a proven ability to implement school based initiatives and policies and a commitment to continuous professional development. This is an Administrative Principal role at present.

Three copies of completed application form to be sent by post. Envelopes should be clearly marked 'Principal Application'. A minimum of three applications are required for this competition to proceed.
