Applicants should have qualifications as per Department of Education and Skills Circular 0034/2018. A Level 5 qualification in Special Needs Assisting or Childcare is desirable.
Desirable competencies include experience in working with pupils with challenging behaviour; experience in dealing with sensitive issues such as toileting needs; experience in managing the safety and welfare of pupils in the school grounds and on trips outside school; flexibility; and a knowledge of Lamh.
