We at One Step Ahead Pre-school are looking for an Early Years Educator to join our team as level 7 AIM assistant. This is a part-time, temporary position, five days a week, three hours a day: Monday to Friday, 9am to12pm. School holidays will not be paid. The statutory three weeks holidays and bank holidays are paid.
Candidates must have at least a Level 5 childcare award to be considered for the position.
The rate of pay is€13 per hour, for three hours a day, five days a week during term-time.
Duties include:
• Assisting children with additional needs to participate fully in the pre-school routine.
• Leading small groups.
• Allowing the room leader to work with the child/children.
• Working one-to-one and in pairs with children.
• Assisting the running of the day.
One Step Ahead is a part-time service catering for children aged between 2 and half and five years. We are based in St. Benedict’s and St. Mary’s National School, Grange Park, Raheny, Dublin 5. We offer the ECCE programme and CCSP(+). Children attend the service from 8.40am to 12.00pm with many staying on until 1.30pm. This year we have both an ECCE Year 1 and Year 2 room. The advertised position is for the Year 1 room where children are aged between 2 and a half and 3 and a half, since September.
