An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
Initial duties of the post are those of a mainstream teacher, but that is subject to change.
As Courtenay NS is a Catholic school, the appointee must have a certificate to teach RE.
In addition, the following skills and experience are desirable but not essential: full probation; experience in the implementation and evaluation of guided and paired reading initiatives; experience of implementing behaviour management skills; Please detail these skills and experience (including details of your certificate in RE) in your letter of application.
Your application must be accompanied by the contact details of a minimum of three referees, 1 of whom must be your current or most recent employer.
Candidates called to interview will be required to provide proof of qualifications, teaching practice grades and current Teaching Council Registration.
Envelopes must be clearly marked "Teaching Position Application."
