An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

There are two full-time Special Education Posts being advertised. One is a shared position (shared between 3 schools- Doon Convent, Knockainey N.S and Caherline N.S). The second is based in Caherline N.S. Commencement dates are 03-12-18 and 7-01-19. Please Mark envelopes clearly as APPLICATION and enclose a SAE for return of documents. The successful candidate will be appointed to a special education teaching post initially, however, duties may be subject to change. Candidates called to interview will have to supply original copies of third level qualifications, teaching practice grades and proof of Teaching Council registration. Failure to comply with these requirements may invalidate a candidate's application. Appointment will be subject to satisfactory references, current and continuous Teaching Council Registration, current vetting requirements and OHS. Canvassing will disqualify candidates.
