Scoil Iosagain are seeking to appoint a bus escort commencing October 2018. The escort will accompany pupils on specialised bus transport from their homes to and from school.
The bus escort must be available in the mornings from approximately 8am to 9:30am and from 2.15pm to approximately 3.45pm during school term. Escorts must have their own transport to and from the drop off point (currently Scoil Iosagain CBS)
The escort is responsible for the safety of the pupils on board the bus and will be required to assist them getting on and off the bus and securing appropriate seatbelts.
Experience working with children with autism and complex needs is desirable. Candidates will be expected to deal with parents and school staff in a professional way, they will need to communicate regarding pick ups/drop offs, illnesses, traffic, delays etc.
Appointment is subject to garda vetting and appropriate character references.
Rate of pay €13.60 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)
