An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

This is full time, fixed-term teaching post, covering Principal Release Days in 9 schools in the West Clare area. As such, the teaching duties may vary.
Doonaha N.S. is the base school for the position.
As travel is a requirement, applicants for this position must have a full clean driving licence and access to the necessary transport.
The appointee may claim travel expenses in accordance with Department of Education and Skills circulars regulations in place relating to same.

The following are desirable:
Full probation.
Experience in a multi-grade setting.
Flexiblity and ability to work as part of a team.
Good organizational and planning skills.
A fluent level of Gaeilge (one of the schools in the cluster is a Gaelscoil).
Applicants must hold a certificate in R.E. to be eligible for appointment.

Candidates called to interview will be required to provide proof of:
Teaching Council Registration and qualifications, full driving licence and a copy of insurance.

Appointment is subject, but not limited to, satisfactory references, current and continued registration with the Teaching Council, current Garda vetting and OHS requirements.
