POST DETAILS
Panel of Applicants:
An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
These positions are being readvertised due to insufficient applications to form a panel for interview.
This is a jobshare position.
First round of Interviews will take place on Tuesday 10th of July.
As this is a readvertisement applicants who have previously applied need not reapply for these positions.
The following criteria will be used to in the selection of successful candidate:
1. Qualifications to teach.
2. Relevant experience in teaching students with autism and complex needs.
3. Classroom Management Skills - Ability to organise an ASD classroom
4. Interpersonal Skills - Desire and ability to lead a class team in a challenging but supportive environment.
5. Understanding of challenging behaviour and evidence based strategies.
6. Performance at interview.
