An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

The Board of Management initially advertised this permanent vacancy on this website on the 11th day of June 2018 for teachers listed on the Supplementary Panel for the Diocese of Dublin. The closing date for receipt of expressions of interest was the 16th day of June 2018. The closing date for submission of expressions of interest from teachers on the relevant supplementary Panel was extended by advertisement on this website to the 18th day of June 2018. The Board of Management is now proceeding to fill these permanent vacancies through open competition.

Stewarts School caters for students with moderate, severe and profound intellectual disability aged 4-18 years. In addition, many students have additional needs such as autism and complex medical conditions. The school is supported by its clinic team. The successful candidate must be able to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of the primary curriculum is advantageous and experience of PECS, Lámh, positive behaviour strategies and crisis intervention/management is desirable. Training will be provided as needed. The school participates in the Droichead process. Visits to the school are welcome.
