Panel of Applicants:
An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
St. Patrick's Special School are looking for SNAs for 3 permanent positions. Duties for all posts will be in a special class for children with a diagnosis of ASD and Severe/ Profound to Moderate general learning disability. Many have additional needs.
Essential criteria include experience and qualifications in special education and ASD and experience of working in an ASD class. The use of PECS, LAMH and the TEACCH approach are desirable. Manual Handling and MAPA qualifications are particularly desirable.
The successful candidate will have to undergo satisfactory Garda Vetting, occupational health screening and reference checks. Candidates with panel rights should include Form with application.
