An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

The Board of Management initially advertised this permanent vacancy on this website on the 7th day of June 2018 for teachers listed on the Supplementary Panel for the Diocese of Dublin. The closing date for receipt of expressions of interest was the 13th day of June 2016. The closing date for submission of expressions of interest from teachers on the relevant supplementary Panel was extended by advertisement on this website to the 17th day of June 2018. The Board of Management is now proceeding to fill these permanent vacancies through open competition.

St. Joseph's Special School are looking for a permanent Special Class Teachers with initial duties in a special class for children with a dual diagnosis of ASD and Severe to Moderate general learning disability. While not essential, experience and qualifications in special education and ASD as well as the use of PECS, LAMH and the the TEACCH approach are desirable.
