An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

Experience of working in a special school which caters for children with Mild General Learning Disabilities and/or Autism Spectrum Disorders is essential.
Qualification in QQ1 Level 5 or 6 in Childcare, alongside first aid and manual handling is desirable. Experience of TEACCH, Lamh, PECS and ISL is also desirable.
