Additional Information:
There are two posts being advertised here. One is a for an infant day (0.83 of a post)
and one is for part time hours (0.75 of a full time post) (24 hours weekly). Garda Vetting is mandatory for all positions. Please include PF1 if applicable.
Experience working with pupils in Special Class placements an advantage.
The Board of Management of Scoil Íosagáin, seeks applications from suitably qualified SNAs for the above positiosn. Salary and conditions as per the Department of Education & Skills.
Experience of working in a Special School with students with Autistic Spectrum Disorders and students with severe challenging behaviours is desirable. Previous experience in an Autism Specific Class/Unit will be a distinct advantage.
Qualifications in the following areas are essential due to the specialised nature of the work in this school:
The understanding of Multi-Sensory Integration Programmes would be a distinct advantage.
Suitable applicants may also be invited to join a substitute panel of SNAs in the school.
All appointments are subject to Garda Vetting Clearance and sanction by the Department of Education and Skills.
