An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
The Board of Management initially advertised this permanent vacancy on this website on the 10th July 2017 for teachers listed on the Supplementary Panel for the Diocese of Killaloe. The closing date for receipt of expressions of interest was the 14th July 2017. The closing date for submission of expressions of interest from teachers on the relevant Supplementary Panel was extended by advertisement on this website to the 19th July 2017. The Board of Management is now proceeding to fill these permanent vacancies through open competition.
St Vincent's is a special school catering for pupils with a Moderate or Severe &
Profound General Learning Disability as well as ASD with the above diagnoses. The positions may involve working with children with severe challenging behaviour. Training in or experience in same is highly desirable. Applicants must have a Certificate to teach Religious Education. Appointment will be subject to Vetting requirements as detailed in DES Circular 0031/2016 & Occupational Health Screening. Please mark envelope 'Teacher Application' Applicants called to interview will be required to provide proof of qualifications.
