The Board of Management initially advertised this permanent vacancy on this website on the 5th day of July 2017 for the teachers on the Supplementary Panel for the Diocese of Meath. The closing date for the expression of interest was the 10th day of July 2017.
The closing date for the submission of interest from teachers on the relevant Supplementary Panel was extended by advertisement on this website to the 12th day of July.
The Board of Management is now proceeding to fill this permanent vacancy through open competition.
We have pupils aged 4-18 who have moderate, severe/profound learning difficulties and pupils with moderate or severe autism. Initially, the posts will be in the severe/profound classes. These children would have limited mobility and be non verbal. Some have complex medical needs. We encourage participation on the UCD course for Severe/Profound students. You need a strong commitment to helping children learn. It's not an easy option, but you'll be joining a great team of people, and you'll need a good sense of humour. We are looking for committed, dedicated teachers as our pupils deserve the best. You will be given support and guidance. The Religious Qualification is also required as is registration with the Teaching Council. Please note, as we are deemed a primary school, post primary teachers, if appointed would be on the primary teachers pay scale.
