An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

This fixed-term post arises as a result of a career break and is for the duration of the 2017/'18 school year. The initial duties of this post are those of a mainstream teaching post but duties may be subject to change. Candidates called to interview will have to supply original copies of third level qualifications, teaching practice grades, Inspector's reports and proof of Teaching Council registration. Failure to comply with these requirements may invalidate a candidate's application. Appointment will be subject to successful Garda Vetting requirements as detailed in DES circular 0031/2016, Occupational Health Screening and Teaching Council Registration.
