Description:
We are currently recruiting for a teacher position to school a Junior Infant aged 5. They will consider a newly qualified, or nearly fully qualified Teacher who may be on work placement. This is a crucial job as you will be responsible for fostering and developing the skills and social abilities of the child in a home environment. You will be required to educate the child on a variety of topics including Maths, English, Irish, SESE, SPHE & Religion.
Job Description
• Developing and fostering the appropriate skills and social abilities to enable the optimum development of the child in a home environment.
• Planning weekly and delivering lessons, setting and marking assignments.
• Assessing and recording the child’s progress through Monthly Reports.
• Working as a team member with both parents and another educator and liaising with other relevant individuals/agencies when necessary (educational psychologists)
• Liaising with the child’s parents and participating in meetings.
• Organising and participating in extra-curricular activities.
• Create a ‘classroom ‘ set up in the home and ensure a solid structure is being maintained.
• Ad hoc responsibilities
Ideal Candidate
Extremely high standard of reading and writing English and Irish is an absolute necessity.
Teaching all areas of the national curriculum and keeping up to date with changes.
Fun and creative individual with excellent teaching standards
Using enthusiastic and imaginative presentation to make learning fun.
Maintaining discipline throughout the working hours.
The organisation of, and participation in a variety of indoor and outdoor learning activities
Preparing lessons that cater to the needs of the entire ability range in your class.
Travel: not a major feature of the job.
Working hours: 9- 1.30pm
