The Board of Management initially advertised this position on staffroom.ie,on June 1st 2017 for teachers listed on the Supplementary Panel for the diocese of Kilmore . The closing date for receipt of expressions of interest from teachers on the relevant Supplementary Panel was extended by advertisement on staffroom.ie to 9th June 2017. The Board of Management is now proceeding to fill this vacancy through open competition. This position is initially for a special class teacher for teaching children with Autism.
Desirable Skills: Experience teaching in a special class for children with Autism or in a special school. Experience in using alternative methods of communication PECS, Lamh and assistive technology. The successful candidate should be flexible and committed to continuing professional development with SESS and other agencies. He or She should also have excellent inter-personal and communication skills.
