Additional Information:
St. Anthony’s School is a Special School for children with Mild GLD and other conditions such as ASD, Down Syndrome, Physical Disability and/or Sensory Impairments. This post is to teach students aged 12-18 years general woodwork skills for 8 hours (2 days) per week. Experience teaching Junior Cycle programmes desirable.
This post is being advertised as per Department of Education rules in Circular 23/2015.
Teachers proposed for the appointment must hold current registration with the Teaching Council and hold qualifications appropriate to teaching the specific subject area at Post Primary level. Teachers who are registered with the Teaching Council as “Further Education” or Regulation 5/Route 3 are not deemed appropriately qualified for the purposes of delivery of part time specialist hours in Special Schools.
