An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
The Board of Management of Citywest ETNS initially advertised this permanent vacancy on this website on the 31st day of May, 2017 for teachers listed on the Supplementary Panel for Educate Together Dublin. The closing date for receipt of expressions of interest was the 5th day of June, 2017. The closing date for submission of expressions of interest from teachers on the relevant Supplementary Panel was extended by advertisement on this website to the 8th day of June, 2017. The Board of Management is now proceeding to fill this permanent vacancy through open competition.
Citywest ETNS is a rapidly-developing school entering its 6th year of existence. Current accommodation is our temporary premises; we expect to move into our permanent premises in 2019.
We are seeking to fill a variety of positions for the 2017/18 school year from this recruitment drive. A well as permanent positions, we have temporary positions available for the full school year and for the first two months of the year. We also have a number of substitute positions to fill due to family leave of various lengths. Successful candidates will be allocated to mainstream teaching positions, support teaching positions, shared support teaching positions or to teaching our class for children with Autism. Teachers on permanent contracts can be allocated to any teaching position at any time.
In valuing the core principles of Educate Together, high levels of skill in the areas of leadership, initiative and collegiality are important in our school. Team-work is core to everything that we do, with all staff members (21 teachers, 6 SNAs, secretary, bus escort and caretaker/cleaner) respected as professionals and part of the teaching and learning team.
Applications must be submitted by midday on Friday 23rd June. It is expected that interviews will take place on Friday 7th July.
Those candidates invited to interview will be asked for a profile photo. There is no need to send one at this stage. Successful candidates will require up-to-date (i.e. since May 2016) Garda vetting and Statutory Declaration and be registered with the Teaching Council before the start of the school year.
