iScoil Head of Learning
iScoil (www.iscoil.ie) is an award winning social innovation that aims to open access to education for all young people. We create successful education programmes for early school leavers by providing an adaptable response to meet any need, circumstance or context. Available online or in blended settings we believe in partnership to deliver a multi-disciplinary effective learning environment. iScoil is now at an exciting time of development. As part of our growth plan we are looking for a Head of Learning who will be a key member of our Central Team as we strengthen our model for future scale.
As part of the iScoil Central Team the key purpose of the role is to lead the delivery and development of successful and engaging learning opportunities. This involves managing our current delivery of QQI Level 3 courses including the assessment process together with our online tutors. As we set our model up for growth and scale the Head of Learning will also lead the development of new courses and qualifications with QQI and identify other areas for accredited learning that complement our ethos.
Set up in 2009 iScoil has led technology for educational inclusion in Ireland and our experienced team are enthusiastic about evolving our model and widening our reach. This new role is an exciting opportunity to make a real contribution to educational innovation and improve life outcomes for marginalised young people.
Purpose of the Role:
As part of the iScoil Central Team the key purpose of the role is to lead the delivery and development of successful and engaging learning opportunities.
This involves:
• Managing the delivery and development of accredited courses
• Managing the validation process of new qualifications with QQI
• Coordinating frameworks for pilot programmes including review and evaluation
• Contributing to the identification of new growth areas in accredited learning for iScoil
